Located at Robert Jacobsens Vej, the Upcycle Studios represent a groundbreaking achievement in sustainable urban architecture. This development spans 3,440 square meters and consists of 20 unique townhouses that redefine how we think about circular construction.
Architectural Innovation & Sustainability
Designed by Lendager Architects and developed by Nrep in 2018, these homes are built on the principle of upcycling. They are constructed using 1,000 tons of recycled materials, including:
– Repurposed Windows: Sourced from renovated social housing projects.
– Dinesen Wood Floors: Crafted from offcuts and surplus wood from the renowned flooring manufacturer.
– Recycled Concrete: Crushed and reused to form the structural foundation.
Because of this radical approach, the construction process saved approximately 45% in CO2 emissions compared to conventional building methods.
A New Chapter: From Rental to Ownership
Originally established as rental properties, the development entered a new phase following a change in ownership after Kristensen Properties took over the estate in May 2024.
Recent Sales Milestone
The transition to private ownership started in 20025. The first townhouse (B) was sold in June and in the same year townhouse A, P and T were sold.
